Monday Mornings with Wesley...

Wesley has a slinky shaped like a heart that is different colors on different ends. He told me "torquoise hearts beat like this (side to side) and red hearts beat like this in and out."
When I asked him how he knew that he said, "Well, I was outside and God told me. I saw His shine come down and he told me something. He said torquoise hearts like to party and beat crazy so that's why I gave you a red heart."
Then he went on to tell me how God came to his room last night and took his brain last night and moved it around. Then he ended his story with "and that was in real life!"

I hope he's always able to listen to God voice that well!

Wordless Wednesday Will...

Yeah, he's cute and he knows it!

Where's Waldo, I mean Will and Wesley...

To say that bedtime is a struggle around here would be putting it mildly. Those two have Twin-a-Palooza in their bedroom every night. The worst part is that they don't stay in their room!
We put them back several times until they finally beat us and we lay on the couch and ignore them! Then when Jon and I finally go to bed it's aways a fun bedtime of edition of
"Where's Will and Wesley".
Believe me, we never know where we will find them!
Bedtime-my least favorite part of the day made a little better when I can at least get some funny pictures out of it.
Laugh or cry, right?

Will's Nonsils...

Wesley just started yelling excitedly, "Will has his nonsils back!"

Will ran in hear and said, "You know you had the doctor cut my nonsils out? They grew back!!!" Then opened his mouth wide and made me look.  I had to explain that the dangly thing in the back of his throat wasn't his tonsils, and that they were still gone :)

I love that Wesley was so excited for him!

Wesley Wednesday...

After church tonight I asked Wesley what he learned. He very excitedly said, "God loves you and me!"
I said, "He does? What about Jackson?"
Wesley said, "Weeellll, maybe a little bit." then he held his fingers really close to each other and said, "he loves him this little bit."

At Least They Are Getting Along...

I was about to lose my ever loving mind if one more morning I told the kids it was time to start school only to hear, "just let me finish this level"! I'm sure your kids all greet the beginning of the school day with great joy, but mine became even more reluctant once they were sucked into the world of TV or itouches. The principal and I decided that the new policy at Dodd Christian Academy would be NO electronics before 4:00. Thus school would be over and they shouldn't be a problem. When we made the announcement at last night's family meeting Ashton announced she was moving out, but they reluctantly handed them over and never once asked for them this morning. Instead of coming downstairs to the sight of kids vegged out in front of the TV I found all 4 kids working together to build a monster truck land. Let me repeat that in case you missed the most important part of my personal little mini-miracle: ALL 4 kids working TOGETHER!!! So now they begged me a for a few more minutes to finish their land but that is something I can agree to much more readily!

My favorite quote of the day...

While we were watching a movie Jackson said, "I sure hope Jackie Chan is a Christian so I can meet him in heaven one day and learn some moves." I love my sweet boy!

Good Old Peter Pan

This morning the boys came downstairs to see that it was snowing big, giant snow flakes. They were so excited! Then as usual they had funny commentary:
Will: "Peter Pan made it snow!"
Wesley (in a serious voice): "Yeah, Peter Pan and God."
Will: "Peter Pan is coming to our house!"
Wesley (in a sad voice): "Yeah, but not God. He can't fly :( "

Yes, I proceeded to explain that God is always with us, but maybe this week there should be a little more watching of "What's in the Bible with Buck Denver" and a little less "Jake and the Neverland Pirates"!

Don't Mess With Will...

If you mess with Will like Wesley did today when he threw his chocolate milk in the sink Will might say, "Mommy, Wesley makes the whole world stupid." Of course, since he can't really say some of the letters in that sentence I asked him to repeat himself (all the while hoping I didn't hear what I thought I'd heard, but no such luck!). He spoke a lot slower and included his arms open wide to make sure I understood "the whole world".
I said, "Why do you think Wesley makes the world stupid?"
Without missing a beat for even a second he said, "Because he scratches me, hits me, pushes me, and scratches me and pushes me!"
Oh well, I guess they can't love each other every minute :)

Wesley said...

Out of the blue Wesley walked up to Ashton and said, "Ashton, you and Taylor Swift are my 2 favorite girls!" and hugged her. He sure loves his sissy!
