Poor Ashton was forced to postpone her birthday party because of her parents exhaustion. However, she came out great on the deal because we agreed to let her have a sleepover. However, first we had to do what the girls were most excited about: paint pottery! I picked everyone up and we headed to our local pottery place which I called and was told they were open until 6. When we arrived at 4 they were closed! I thought I was going to have a carload of disappointed girls so we just headed on a road trip to the Factory and their pottery place.
The girls were so excited, but I forgot to have the "don't touch anything" talk so within 10 seconds of our walking in someone broke something! Luckily, they didn't kick us out or even charge me! Then everyone go the fun of picking out what they wanted to paint (with me steering them away from the $25 tea pot but assuring them that their mommies would probably love to bring them back to buy it:)
Three girls chose a beautiful ballerina box while one was in love with the horse:
As expected, all the girls loved painting and all did a good job. This was a great outing that I hope to make again with these sweeties (with their mommies' $25, of course).
Girls will be girls of course so we had to stop to do some posing on the giant chair they thought was so cool.
One fun birthday activity that was definitely worth the wait!
